This month’s theme was all about pets and it posed a big challenge! Nearly
every trip to the library involves checking out at least a half dozen animal
related books.
For this theme the books themselves became our activity.
Because I knew we couldn’t choose one I set the kids a
library challenge. I asked them to make up a list of all the pets they could
think of. We took our lists to the library and announced their task: Find a
book that was about or featured each one of the animals on the list.
Mini Piwi, 3.5, had a time searching for books on the ipad catalogue search spot the library recently installed. I was really proud to see Miss K showing her little sis how to find books using the Dewey system
We ended up with quite a pile!
